STANDING IN LOVE..

standing in love is that state of mind you find yourself when you have been heart broken before and find it difficult to love again. You are always on the defensive trying to shield your heart.  The scary thing about being in love is that you sometimes lose your sense of reasoning and giving it up for trust and believe in the other party.  That is why they say someone in love is very difficult to advise.  

However, when the heart is broken the person goes back into his/her shell. Holding back the the trust because it has been betrayed before.  The person starts standing in love with his/her head and not the heart.  Everything little gesture is subjected to critical reasoning. They are always on guard protecting their fragile heart. The person on the other side could get frustrated because such people are mostly withdrawn. They can sweet and loving sometimes but other times they are back into their shells.

Healing process takes time. All the other party needs to do is reassure them of his/her genuine intent.  Although until that person is fully healed from the hurt and betrayal. He/she is not ready to love again....  They will keep standing in love.

Search For Common Ground Trains Journalists On Conflict Reporting

The need for journalists to examine issues impartially and cover such issues with inclusivity, reflecting on diverse perspectives which will in turn contribute to peace-building and social change was highlighted at a five-day intensive training on Common Ground Journalism for Journalists from Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta States, with the theme ‘A Community Centered Approach to Transforming Criminality and Violence in the Niger Delta” held in Warri, Delta state. In his opening remarks, Search for Common Ground Head of Office/Programme Implementation in the Niger Delta, Mr. Yacinthe Agbagadjan informed that the training was organized in partnership with Stakeholders Democracy Network, Partnership Initiatives in Niger Delta, and Academic Associates Peace Works, funded by the European Union as part of an 18 month project covering sixty-six communities across thirty-three Local Governments Areas of the three states. Architect defiles niece, 5, appears in court

A 34-year-old architect, Abiodun Akinpelu, who allegedly defiled his five-year-old niece, on Wednesday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos. Akinpelu, who resides at No. 29, Mayowa St., Orelope in Egbeda, a Lagos suburb, is facing a two-count charge of defilement and indecent assault. The offence, according to the Prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, was committed on Sept. 4 at the apartment of the accused. The accused indecently assaulted her by fingering her, Ogu told the court. “He lured the girl into his room, carried her on his laps and started fingering her. “The grandmother, while bathing the girl, discovered that she cries as she washes her private part. “The girl narrated everything that the uncle did to her to her grandmother,” he told the court. The prosecutor said the accused was arrested and handed over to the police. The offences contravened Sections 1375 and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
